Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a software engineer focused on QA automation and SDET who can design/maintain frameworks using Python, Java, or TypeScript. You will implement UI and API automation, work within enterprise AI tools, and ensure security and quality across automated test suites.

You will contribute to reliable CI/CD pipelines, analyze large data, and collaborate across teams to improve software resilience and performance in a security-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
• Must be a US Citizen
• Hands-on experience in QA automation / SDET / test engineering
• Fluent programming skills in at least one of: Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Java (design/maintain frameworks and debug)
• Hands-on experience with UI automation and backend/API automation; engineering quality and maintainability are essential
• Knowledge of testing practices (functional, regression, negative testing, test design) and strong QA fundamentals
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL for test data validation and verification
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with ability to evaluate/validate AI outputs
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows; secure handling of inputs/outputs
• Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting beyond routine approaches
• Uses enterprise AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity with peer review and testing
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation value
• Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications
• Develops visualizations and reporting from large data sets for continuous improvement
• Identifies hidden problems and patterns to improve coding hygiene and architecture
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events
• Supports team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect
