Job summary

Advanced-Sciences-and-Technologies- seeks a Software Engineer II to work in a collaborative agile team, delivering maintenance and upgrade solutions for tactical systems. The role covers the full software lifecycle and compliance with project reviews and process requirements.

The candidate should have 2–4 years of software development experience, be able to obtain the necessary government clearance, and be proficient in Java, C++, or Python within Linux/UNIX environments using Eclipse and UML.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field is required or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics or related field or equivalent related work experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain/maintain required security clearance per contract timelines.
2-4 years' experience in software development, maintenance, or support in Open/Layered Architecture environments.
Experience developing software with Java, C++, or Python.
Experience with Agile scaled principles.
Experience with OO design/development including design patterns and software insulation techniques.
Experience working with Linux/UNIX environments.
Strong skills with IDEs such as Eclipse.
Familiar with UML syntax and its use.
Familiar with driver-based and automated test environments.

Responsibilities

Develop software maintenance and upgrade solutions for tactical systems within an agile team.
Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle and support process requirements and reviews as needed.
