Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a software engineer to join the GMD Weapon System Fire Control team. You will help develop and test Ada/C++/Java software that analyzes threat scenes for missile defense, in a collaborative, in-person environment.

You will review requirements, support code modernization, and translate Ada code to C++. A DoD secret clearance is required to start, with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 2+ years of related experience, or Master’s with 0-2 years.
• Principal level requires 5 years with Bachelor’s or 3 years with Master; PhD optional.
• Recent extensive software experience in Ada, C++, or Java.
• Willingness to become highly proficient with Ada.
• Strong math and physics background.
• Ability to understand complex algorithms and implement them in software.
• Must be able to work in-person/in closed-area environment.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%.
