Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer II in Schaumburg, IL to join our embedded systems software team. You will analyze, design, develop, and maintain software for our next-generation products within an agile environment.

The role requires hands-on coding in C/C++, Linux and Windows, with exposure to Python or Java, and collaboration across hardware and software teams to deliver robust, secure solutions for critical public safety applications.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years of embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Linux/Windows development.

Contributes to the full product lifecycle by performing software development, executing hardware and software integration tests, and developing and validating all feature functionality and user documentation.
