Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced embedded software professional to analyze, design, and maintain software for our products and systems. You will participate in the full product lifecycle, performing development and integration tests in a collaborative, agile environment.

Required skills include C/C++, Linux, Windows development, Python, Perl/Powershell, Java, Make, Bash, and networking protocols. Desired skills cover Agile, Git/JIRA, mobile platforms, and embedded programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant embedded system software development experience.
• US Citizenship required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Experience with C/C++, Linux variants, Windows development, Python, Perl / Powershell, Java, Make, Bash, and networking protocols.

Job Description

Analyzes, develops, designs, and maintains software for the organization’s products and systems. Contributes to the full product lifecycle by performing software development, executing hardware and software integration tests, and developing and validating all feature functionality and user documentation. Candidates are expected to work in a team environment, using the latest industry-standard agile practices to plan, implement, and deliver products and services.

• Security concepts such as authentication, access control, authorization, and cryptography

Target Base Salary Range: $73,800 - $107,600 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's (BS) or Master's (MS) degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.

• 1 to 2 years of relevant embedded system software development experience.
