Job Summary: BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated mid-level Software Engineer to join our Tactical Mobile (TacMobile) team supporting the NIWC Atlantic TacMobile Program with the sustainment of the existing fielded configurations as well as developing and fielding future capabilities for the TacMobile sites (USN and FMS customers).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Software Engineering:
   • Provide software engineering expertise to support a Systems Integration Test and Evaluation (SITE) Integrated Product Team (IPT) with systems engineering efforts for the TacMobile program.
   • Develop, maintain, and unit test code using software development environments and programming languages.
2. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Work closely with P-8 platform interfaces and the Global Command and Control System (GCCS).
   • Collaborate with other contractor teammates and customers daily.
   • Work closely with customers to ensure deliverables meet their expectations and are timely.
3. Software Development:
   • Apply interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to plan, design, develop, and verify system-of-systems (SoS) and system solutions.
   • Develop, document, and maintain software designs consistent with architecture and requirements.
   • Contribute to large-scale software system development.
4. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:
   • Troubleshoot and investigate complex software component issues.
   • Evaluate proposed solutions and perform architectural trade studies.
   • Maintain software architecture documentation.
5. Process and Planning:
   • Participate in architecture and process reviews.
   • Provide data, estimates, and recommendations for project planning.
   • Develop and deploy processes and tools, establish metrics, and adhere to standards.
6. Leadership and Mentorship:
   • Guide less experienced team members.
   • Contribute to proposals, research, and technology transfer.
7. Operational Support:
   • Support operational and integration issues for software systems.
   • Participate actively in team meetings.

Location and Details:

• North Charleston, SC (contingent upon contract award).
• Limited relocation assistance may be available.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (aerospace, computer, electrical, mechanical, software, systems engineering, or IT).
• DoD IAT Level II Certified in Security+.
• Experience with hardware design, trade studies, interface design.
• Proficiency in Java and/or C#.
• Experience with VMWare, H2, SQL Server, Windows Active Directory (LDAP).
• Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, UML, SysML.
• Programming experience aligned with software development requirements.
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of servers, workstations, network devices.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Masters degree preferred.
• Experience with TacMobile, LINQ, binary/hex data, Microsoft components, testing, P-8A media interface, acoustics signals, IDEs (JetBrains IntelliJ, Eclipse, Visual Studio), messaging (JMS), containerization.

Pay and Benefits: Salary range $63,662 - $108,225. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), disability, life insurance, paid time off, holidays, parental/military/bereavement leave, recognition awards, and other incentives.
