Job summary

Deloitte’s GPS practice is seeking a Software Engineer II on the Human Services Transformation team in Colorado. You will design, build, and maintain secure, high-performance enterprise applications, applying Java, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot while collaborating with designers, developers, testers, and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure, high-performance applications

Our Human Services Transformation offering delivers large, complex systems development and transformation projects to Human Service agencies across federal, state, and local government agencies.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

2+ years of experience designing and developing secure, high-performance enterprise solutions, including 2+ years of experience building Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) applications using Java, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot

2+ years of experience with unit and integration testing, code reviews, database management, and DevOps tools including continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline automation, Jenkins, SonarQube, and GitHub

Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

1+ years of experience working in Agile delivery teams and collaborating with design, quality assurance, and business stakeholders

1+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms, Azure DevOps or equivalent CI/CD tooling, and automated testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, Playwright, or Selenium

1+ years of experience supporting distributed or integrated enterprise systems using microservices, message-based integration, API management, logging, metrics, tracing, and troubleshooting across environments

1+ years of experience executing functional, integration, and user acceptance testing across multi-system environments, including downstream and upstream data validation

This compensation range is specific to California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $71,300 to $140,600.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
