Motion Industries, Inc. in Illinois seeks a Software Engineer II to design, develop, install software solutions and test to improve operations. This role contributes to system reliability and performance across multiple applications.
Under general supervision, you will manage trouble tickets, provide production support, and implement fixes with limited supervision. You will work with backend languages and frontend scripts, perform design reviews, and ensure code quality and security.
Under general supervision, the Software Engineer II develops information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions, and testing. This position improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience; or equivalent combination.
Consistently applies fundamental knowledge of application configuration, maintenance and support. Intermediate knowledge of client/server networks. Proven ability to effectively troubleshoot program errors. General understanding of how technology supports the business.
