Job summary

TJ Consulting Group is seeking a Software Engineer Level 1 in Ft. Meade, MD to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems across diverse domains. You will work individually or in teams, review tests, and resolve issues using best practices and C/C++/Java/Python alongside DevOps tooling.

The role requires the ability to analyze requirements, implement features, and contribute to system design while collaborating with stakeholders. TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly is required.

Qualifications

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and derive software design and performance requirements
• Debug existing software and fix defects
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features
• Integrate software into new or modified systems
• Develop simple data queries for databases or data repositories
• Write or review software and system documentation
• Lead teams as appropriate within the development process
• Design or implement complex database interfaces/queries
• Develop algorithms to meet performance and functional standards
• Assist with test procedures for software components
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance and workflows
• Modify existing software to adapt to new hardware or improve performance
• Develop and modify software using analytical models to predict outcomes
