Job summary

Akina, Inc. in Columbia, Maryland is seeking a Software Engineer I focused on streaming analytics and ETL to help deliver mission-critical infrastructure cognizance.

You will design pipelines with Kafka and Python to transform data into actionable insights and leverage AI to accelerate analysis. You will collaborate with full-stack engineers on integration and visualization, ensure scalable data ingestion, and work under TS/SCI - Polygraph clearance.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python programming.
• Experience using AI/ML tools to accelerate data analysis and engineering solutions.
• Experience with Kafka and streaming analytics.
• Working knowledge of relational databases.
• Knowledge of dataflow, data science, or mission analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build streaming data pipelines (Kafka, Python) to process infrastructure data.
• Develop ETL workflows to reconcile requested vs. realized infrastructure.
• Apply AI tools and techniques to accelerate analysis and prototype new solutions quickly.
• Ensure scalable and reliable data ingestion and processing.
• Collaborate with full-stack engineers on integration and visualization of results.
