Job summary

Akina, Inc. in Columbia, Maryland seeks a Software Engineer I to design streaming analytics pipelines and ETL processes that transform infrastructure data into actionable insights. You will leverage Python, Kafka, and AI tools to accelerate analysis and rapidly prototype new solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable data ingestion, reliable processing, and effective visualization of results for stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with AI/ML tools to accelerate data analysis and engineering solutions.
• Experience with Kafka and streaming analytics.
• Working knowledge of relational databases.
• Exposure to adjacent domains such as dataflow or mission analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build streaming data pipelines (Kafka, Python) to process infrastructure data.
• Develop ETL workflows to reconcile requested vs. realized infrastructure.
• Apply AI tools to accelerate analysis and prototype new solutions quickly.
• Ensure scalable and reliable data ingestion and processing.
• Collaborate with full-stack engineers on integration and visualization of results.
