Job summary

INFORMATION SYSTEMS SOLUTIONS, INC. seeks a Software Engineer to support the NIWC PAC IT Management contract. You will research, design, and develop software across unclassified and classified environments, with a strong emphasis on secure coding and DoD directives.

This 100% onsite role requires building robust APIs and web interfaces. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field and hands-on experience with Python and JavaScript, agile practices, and DevSecOps

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or information systems (or equivalent work experience).
Experience with Python and JavaScript coding.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain secure software applications using Python, JavaScript, and other languages across unclassified and classified environments.
Implement secure coding practices and embedded security in the development lifecycle per DoD directives and DISA STIGs.
Build and optimize web-based interfaces and Web Service APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) to aggregate multi-source data.
Utilize Agile/Scrum, TDD, and modular OO design within a CI/CD DevSecOps pipeline.
Design, publish, and maintain database schemas, dictionaries, and system architectures while addressing technical debt.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications, provide system integration support, and document workloads.
