Job summary

RTX is seeking software engineers in Huntsville, AL to join a team delivering world-class software for aerospace and defense applications. You will participate in cross-functional teams, use agile methods, and contribute to real-time embedded and application software across Battle Management, C2, and related systems. The role requires ability to obtain a U.S.

government-secret security clearance, U.S. citizenship, and a strong foundation in C++ development.

What You Will Do: The mission of the software team in Huntsville, AL is to provide world class software for our customer’s. We are looking to add software engineers to our development teams for a wide array of products including Battle Management, Command & Control, Communications, Effectors, and Surveillance and Warning systems. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance required, note only U.S. Citizen can obtain security clearance.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Knowledge or Experience working in Agile environment such as Scrum, Scrum @ Scale, SAFe, Test-Driven Development, DevSecOps
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
• Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems
• Experience with integrated development tools such as Azure, Git, Atlassian Suite, Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible
• Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development pipeline
• Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Linux Operating Systems
• Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
