Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain CIS applications and CC&B integrations. You will contribute to architecture, write robust Java and Groovy code, and work within a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality solutions.

The role emphasizes collaboration, problem solving, and adherence to development standards, with opportunities to engage in architecture discussions and code reviews across multiple IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in maintaining CIS applications within Java environment or 6–9 years with equivalent education/experience.
• Strong software development capabilities and ability to work under deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork in a fast-changing environment.
• Experience with CC&B and Oracle databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain new/existing solutions meeting business requirements; contribute to architecture; include web/mobile/full-stack or cloud/integration projects.
• Design and build CC&B modules and customizations using Java and Groovy; implement requirements via CC&B configurations.
• Collaborate with project teams to coordinate delivery and minimize technology risk.
• Engage with development team lead on progress, status and issues for deliverables.
• Maintain knowledge of preferred technologies and participate in peer code reviews; contribute to IT architecture discussions.
