Job summary

This entry-level Software Engineer position at RTX in Aguadilla, PR sits onsite five days a week. You will join a cross-functional software team to translate system requirements into software designs and implement code to meet customer and certification standards.

You will gain exposure to UML/SysML models, conduct testing, and collaborate with colleagues across disciplines as you contribute to mission-critical solutions in aerospace and defense.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
• Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
• Educational knowledge and project application on software development using Python, C++, or similar, including debugging, integration, and deployment on software platforms.

Collins Aerospace’s Resilient Connectivity Products (RCP) team is looking for an exceptionally motivated entry-level Engineer that is passionate about collaborating with High-Performance Teams to create mission critical solutions supporting Mission Systems. Our Software Engineers work in an exciting, adaptive, and engaging environment enabling rapid learning to drive success. This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location and is to be worked Onsite, 5 days a week. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

Qualifications you must have:

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance after start date.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Knowledge in basic Linux shell scripting, Python or Perl
• Working knowledge of programming languages such as C++ or C#
• Software level debugging experience.
• Knowledge of Database language such as SQL
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, and Coverity.
