Job summary

California State University San Marcos invites applications for Software Developer I. Under the direction of the Director of Software Development and Solutions, you will design, implement, and maintain software applications and systems to support campus operations, including open-source tools and SaaS platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

This full-time, non-exempt role is on campus in San Marcos, CA, with a probationary period toward permanent status.

Responsibilities

• Designing, coding, testing, installing, and upgrading of application system software
• Patches and fixes
• Process monitoring and tuning system performance
• Establishing user access controls
• Defining and implementation of new/modified database tables
• Device planning and configuration
• Incumbent also will perform and participate in code reviews
• Provide appropriate written documentation of project development and programming code
