Job summary

Quartus Engineering invites a Software Engineer I to join a cross-disciplinary team in San Diego on a hybrid schedule. You will design and develop software that integrates with hardware, control systems, and user interfaces, primarily using .NET/C#/C++, and modern UI frameworks.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, 0–2 years of software experience, and familiarity with MVVM, OOP, async programming, and UI design. US persons only.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• 0-2 years of software development experience.
• Experience with .NET, C#, or C/C++.
• Experience with UI design (WPF, WinUI, Avalonia, Blazor, etc.).
• Understanding of design principles, methodologies, and patterns (OOP, MVVM, Producer/Consumer).
• Experience working with asynchronous programming (Async/Await, Tasks, Futures).
• Must be a US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident)

As a Software Engineer I you will develop software that meets the project and customer’s requirements as part of a cross-disciplinary team together with mechanical, hardware, optical, and electrical engineers. You will gain exposure to new challenges that you have not seen before.

Location

Position is based in San Diego with a hybrid schedule.*

What are we looking for?

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline

• Knowledge and experience with communication protocols (UART, EtherCAT, UDP, TCP/IP, MODBUS, etc.)
• Experience designing and architecting software systems
• Experience testing software on real-world hardware

Compensation and Benefits

Software Engineer I pay range: $64,693 - $105,709*

*This range represents base pay. In addition, you may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation.
