Job summary

Silicon Labs in Austin, Texas, is seeking a talented engineer to join the RAIL team developing embedded firmware for wireless radio platforms. You'll design, implement, test, and optimize C/C++ firmware for resource-constrained MCUs.

Collaborate with hardware, SDK, validation and applications teams to bring new wireless products to market; rely on debugging tools and lab equipment to diagnose issues.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Strong interest in embedded software, wireless communications, and low-level system development.
  • Experience in C/C++ for embedded firmware and debugging.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain embedded software features for Silicon Labs wireless radio platforms.
  • Design, implement, test, and debug firmware in C/C++ for resource-constrained microcontrollers.
  • Support radio-control capabilities including transmit, receive, power management, timing, and diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with hardware, radio design, SDK, validation, and applications teams to bring new wireless products to market.
  • Investigate software and hardware integration issues using debuggers and lab tools.

Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
