Job summary

Silicon Labs in Austin is hiring a Senior Product Test Engineer to develop production test solutions for wireless SoCs and MCU devices. You will design hardware and software for automated test equipment, drive silicon characterization, reliability qualification, and statistical analysis to ensure product performance and quality.

The role collaborates with Design, Validation, Manufacturing, Quality and Marketing to accelerate introductions from prototype to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• BS/MS EE/CE or related field with 4+ years in semiconductor product test engineering.
• Experience developing production test solutions for mixed-signal, RF, or MCU-based ICs.
• Hands-on experience with ATE platforms such as Teradyne J750 and Ultra FLEX.

Responsibilities

• Develop production test solutions for advanced wireless SoCs and MCU products used during design validation and high-volume manufacturing.
• Design and develop hardware and software for automated test equipment (ATE) to characterize and validate new devices.
• Drive silicon characterization, reliability qualification, and statistical analysis to ensure product performance and quality.
• Develop stress test hardware and methodologies to support product qualification.
• Collaborate with Design, Validation, Manufacturing, Quality, and Marketing teams to accelerate new product introductions.
• Analyze test data to improve yield, optimize test coverage, reduce manufacturing cost, and resolve production issues.
• Support customer quality initiatives and drive continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.
• Deliver test solutions that meet aggressive development schedules from prototype evaluation through manufacturing release.
• Develop and test highly integrated mixed-signal devices including wireless RF circuitry, microcontrollers, embedded Flash memory, sensors, ADCs, DACs, LDOs, PLLs, DC-DC converters, and other analog and mixed-signal circuits.

Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
