001 Sentry Insurance Company is seeking a software professional to join the Claims IT team. You will work across the full software development lifecycle using technologies such as C#, Angular, and SQL in a hybrid cloud infrastructure.

You will collaborate with engineers, QA, and product analysts to design, test, and maintain applications that support our claims operations. The role can be filled as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or Senior Software Engineer depending on qualifications

As a Software Developer, you will:

• Complete assigned tasks on time while adhering to established software development practices.
• Actively participate in team discussions and openly communicating status and effort.
• Engage in the design, development, and implementation of new and existing programs or solutions.
• Demonstrate ownership over the quality of assigned tasks, preparing test scripts and conducting tests on both new and existing solutions.
• Actively engage in team delivery functions such as design reviews, code reviews, and scrum meetings.
• Build an understanding of relevant business domains.
• Utilize growing understanding to enhance your work product.

What it Takes

• Associate Degree in Computer Science or related discipline; or equivalent related work experience.
• Bachelor Degree preferred.
• Demonstrated aptitude in one or more programming languages and software development concepts.
• Proficiency in programming languages and tools relevant to the role preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize systems.
• Demonstrated understanding of design principles and development best practices.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
