Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC, supports the Arnold AEDC in Tennessee by delivering software engineering for ground test facilities. The role collaborates with engineers and physicists to produce reliable software tools and libraries, with emphasis on performance and maintainability.

Open to external candidates; security clearance is required. The candidate will contribute to modern software practices, document work, and adapt to a dynamic defense environment while ensuring safety and compliance

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Mathematics and 2 years related experience.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Air Force security requirements for employment at AEDC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy engineering software tools as part of a small team.
• Develop new capabilities and standalone codes or libraries for integration.
• Maintain legacy codebases and add new features or fix issues.
• Automate complex workflows with engineers and scientists.
• Port software to HPC platforms interfacing with hardware and queues.
• Contribute to technical docs and engineering reports.
• Wear PPE as required by policy.
• Perform other duties as required.
