Job summary

Meta is seeking software engineers to design, develop, and operate scalable network software powering data centers and AI workloads. You will work on drivers, firmware and software for network devices, improve performance, and lead integration with multiple partner teams within a fast-paced environment.

You will develop and automate tests for CI/CD, contribute to datacenter switch services, and help maintain state across services at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of software development experience or PhD with 4+ years of experience.
• 3+ years of experience with network devices and routing/switching knowledge.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting (Python/Shell).
• Experience developing and automating test suites.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, test).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate drivers, firmware, and software for network devices.
• Debug complex system-level issues and optimize software performance.
• Understand components from partner teams and drive integration.
• Develop and automate CI/CD test suites for various components.
• Collaborate with partner teams to integrate software components and on-call rotations.
• Design, develop, and deploy services to manage datacenter switches and forwarding functions.
• Develop infrastructure to maintain switch state and communication between services at scale.
