Job summary

Meta is seeking software engineers to build and operate a scalable, distributed network stack for data centers and AI workloads. You will design drivers and software for network devices, support AI workloads, and collaborate across hardware, firmware, and test teams.

You will contribute to performance tuning, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines, while supporting on-call rotations and cross-team integration to scale our datacenter networking solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field; 7+ years of software development or PhD with 4+ years.
• 3+ years with network devices and routing protocols in industry.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python or Shell scripting.
• Experience with developing and automating test suites.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate drivers, firmware, and software for network devices, transport stacks, and AI workloads.
• Debug complex system-level issues and optimize performance of the software stack.
• Understand components from partner teams and drive integration; lead coordination.
• Develop and automate test suites for CI/CD framework and components.
• Collaborate with partner teams to integrate software components and participate in on-call rotations.
• Design, develop, and deploy services to manage datacenter network switches and forwarding functions.
• Develop infrastructure to maintain switch state and enable communication between services at scale.
