Job summary

Evlo AI is hiring a hands-on software engineer in Seattle to own features end-to-end across the stack. You will work with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to ship user-facing functionality quickly while maintaining reliability, with code in production from week one.

Design, build, and ship full-stack features using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and REST/GraphQL APIs; model PostgreSQL schemas; ensure observability and robust testing; and participate in code reviews and on-call

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with API design and authentication patterns.
• Relational databases: schema design and query optimization.
• Cloud environment experience with Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent practical experience.
• Bonus: GraphQL, Kafka, Kubernetes, mobile development, or startup experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full-stack features spanning React and TypeScript frontends, Node.js services, and REST/GraphQL APIs
• Model and evolve PostgreSQL schemas, write efficient queries, and manage migrations with zero-downtime deploys
• Build and maintain scalable backend services with observability: logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Jest, Playwright, or equivalent frameworks
• Collaborate with designers to implement polished, accessible UI components in a component-driven codebase
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and on-call rotation; contribute to internal engineering standards
• Debug and resolve production issues across the stack, from browser performance to database contention

• Design, build, and ship full-stack features spanning React and TypeScript frontends, Node.js services, and REST/GraphQL APIs


• Model and evolve PostgreSQL schemas, write efficient queries, and manage migrations with zero-downtime deploys


• Build and maintain scalable backend services with proper observability: structured logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting

What We Are Looking For

• 3-6 years of professional software engineering experience building production web applications


• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and React (or similar modern frontend framework)


• Solid backend experience with Node.js, Python, Go, or Java, including API design and authentication patterns


• Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) including schema design and query optimization


• Comfort working in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience


• Bonus: experience with GraphQL, Kafka or other event streaming, Kubernetes, mobile development (React Native/Flutter), or early-stage startup experience
