Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Portal team and help shape the future of global commerce. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications, collaborating with Product, Dev, QA and cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improvements.

You will work in a hybrid environment, participate in SDLC best practices, and utilize CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native technologies to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or related discipline, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of software development experience with front-end technologies and modern frameworks.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices using Java/Spring.
• Strong understanding of Agile/SAFe, Scrum, CI/CD, TDD/BDD, and DevOps practices.
• Proficient with Git, GitHub, and AI-assisted development tooling; knowledge of Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, and Maven.
• Hands-on with cloud-native tech (AWS), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with SQL databases (Snowflake, DB2, MS SQL Server) and development tools (IntelliJ, Eclipse, VS Code).
• Excellent communication and collaboration across distributed teams.
