Job summary

Aerotech, Inc. seeks a software engineer to design and implement applications, libraries, and data-driven solutions that boost manufacturing efficiency and strategic decision making.

You will integrate with Epicor Kinetic ERP, Google Workspace and JIRA, and develop console, web, and desktop apps using .NET technologies. The role emphasizes SQL/SSRS reporting and data warehousing, BI, and AI tools, with a collaborative team environment and opportunities for rotation through related engineering

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, CS, Data Analytics, Data Science, or Information Science.
• 0–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in an object-oriented programming language (e.g., C#, Java).
• US work authorization without employer sponsorship; OPT/CPT not eligible for sponsorship in future.
• Experience with ERP, reporting, UI/web, BI or data warehousing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements software applications, libraries, and data-driven database solutions to improve efficiency and decision making.
• Builds integrations with enterprise software (Epicor Kinetic ERP, Google Workspace/Cloud Platform, JIRA).
• Develops console, web, and desktop apps using .NET Framework technologies.
• Writes SQL queries and SSRS for online apps and reports.

Position Summary

Designs and implements software applications, libraries, and data-driven database solutions that improve business/manufacturing efficiency, management decision making, and other strategic objectives.

Essential Functions

• Designs and implements custom integrations with enterprise software systems (including Epicor Kinetic ERP, Google Workspace and Cloud Platform, and JIRA)
• Designs, implements, and maintains console, web, and desktop applications utilizing Microsoft .NET Framework technologies
• Writes relational database queries and stored procedures for use by online user applications and business reports (utilizing SQL and/or SSRS)
• Maintains and utilizes knowledge of relational database fundamentals, Microsoft Visual Studio, source control, HTML, web applications/services, object-oriented programming concepts, and UI design basics
• Implements, maintains, and supports software development infrastructure such as: version control systems, automated code generation, build automation, continuous integration, unit and regression testing
• Extracts and analyzes trends to derive insights across diverse data sources using Business Intelligence, visualization, warehousing, and AI tools.
• Interacts with engineers in a team environment to debug complex, time-critical problems and implement new features
• Thrives in a team environment and works well independently
• Ensures our software meets or exceeds Aerotech’s quality standards

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) degree program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, or Information Science from an ABET accredited college or university
• Zero to five years of relevant work experienceli>
• Thorough knowledge of an object-oriented (e.g., C#, Java) programming language
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Aerotech does not provide US work authorization sponsorship for this position. OPT and CPT visa holders are not eligible for employment if they will need work authorization sponsorship at any time in the future
• Experience or working knowledge in one or more of the following areas is a plus:
• ERP software and related reporting technologies
• C#, SQL, and SSRS
• UI design or web development
• Business Intelligence, Data Visualization and Data Warehousing tools

As part of our engineer development program, your position will include work experiences (via short-term rotations) in related engineering roles (typically in different departments). Any such rotations will be arranged with your supervisor - aligning your interests with business needs as available.
