Job summary

Blockstream is seeking Software Engineers to work on its enterprise custody solution. You will design and maintain scalable end-to-end systems that serve APIs and SDKs, and work on everything from database architecture to cloud-based deployments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in full-stack development with backend focus, strong API design, cloud and container experience, and a passion for security. The role partners with cross-functional teams across product and hardware engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack software development with a backend focus.
• Proficiency in backend technologies including C++, Python, Rust, Node.js.
• Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs and SDKs.
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Deep understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL).
• Familiarity with authentication and security best practices (OAuth, JWT, encryption).
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills; able to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end systems serving APIs and SDKs.

• Optimize performance and security for high-availability applications.
