Genius Sports in New York is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Fan Engagement team and own end-to-end software delivery. You will design, build, and improve systems while mentoring others and collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers.

You will contribute to scalable, reliable solutions and help drive quality through testing and documentation, with a strong emphasis on team practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering production‑quality software in a professional or comparable environment.
• Proficiency building professional web apps with modern frameworks.
• Experience owning features from design to deployment.
• Strong fundamentals in software development, system design, and debugging.
• Ability to work independently on moderately complex problems.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners and feedback.
• Strong communication and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design, implementation, testing, and delivery of features or subsystems.
• Develop and maintain scalable, reliable software.
• Identify and drive improvements to existing codebases and development practices.
• Solve moderately complex technical problems with thoughtful trade-offs.
• Participate in and contribute to system design discussions and reviews.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver user-centered solutions.
• Mentor and support junior engineers through code reviews and pairing.
• Communicate risks, dependencies, and opportunities clearly.
• Contribute to a culture of quality through testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.
