Job summary

HP Enterprise in Sunnyvale is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to platform software powering the next generation of HPE routers. You will design and maintain infrastructure and diagnostics software, working closely with test teams to ensure high quality products.

The role requires hands-on Linux experience and 2+ years in C/C++ with a BS in CS/EE (MS a plus). A hybrid work model and opportunities for long-term incentives are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in C programming.
• 2+ years of experience in C++ programming.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (4 years experience preferred). Master’s degree is a plus.
• Exposure to routing and forwarding software is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with hardware-level components and protocols such as PCIe, SPI, MDIO, FPGA, CPLD, and Flash drivers.
• Experience with device drivers, system bring-up, and FreeBSD/Linux internals.

• We are looking for a talented and driven Software Engineer to join our Platform Software Team at HPE
• In this role, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge platform software that powers the next generation of HPE routers
• Platform Infrastructure Development: Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure software components such as Routing Engine Redundancy, High Availability features, chassis and line card operations, fabric interconnects, and optical module integration
• Diagnostics Software: Develop and deliver robust diagnostics tools to ensure the reliability and performance of HPE routers
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with system and solution test teams to ensure high-quality product and solution delivery
• Customer Support: Partner with the HPE Technical Assistance Center to provide engineering support for critical customer escalations and successful deployments
