Job summary

Farm Bureau Financial Services seeks an Associate Software Engineer to join the eBusiness team within the Digital Solutions & Services IT department. You will help enhance FBFS.com, mobile apps, agent portals, and CRM solutions, collaborating across teams to deliver reliable software.

The role requires a college degree or equivalent experience, with 3 years in insurance/finance data processing preferred. A hybrid work arrangement is available, with emphasis on teamwork and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Experience with HTML, TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS, ASP.NET MVC/Core, Razor Pages, and other Microsoft full-stack technologies.
• Experience with Azure cloud platform and related development and deployment practices.
• Oral and written communication skills suitable for this position.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications, write code, test, and document.
• Maintain coding standards, testing, and documentation practices.
• Research and stay updated on systems software/hardware topics.
• Provide 24-hour support for production systems as needed.
• Identify causes of system problems with cross-functional teams.
• Design functional components and deliverables for complex systems.
• Support integration of new systems and evaluate new technologies.
