Job summary

WisEngineering is seeking a motivated Software Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of related experience to support development programs at Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, NJ. You will analyze, design, code, test, and improve mission‑critical software systems across multiple platforms.

Requirements include proficiency in C++ and Java, experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Windows and Linux, and git version control.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of related professional software engineering experience.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent field experience.
Proficiency in C++ and Java, using modern IDEs like Microsoft Visual Studio.
Experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux.
Experience with XML scripting, version control via Git, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.
Strong background in Agile development processes.

Responsibilities

Collaborative Development: Define system requirements, design software architecture, write code, define processes, and support integration.
Code Optimization & Review: Identify and improve deficiencies; refactor with high efficiency.
Testing & Verification: Perform unit testing and support software verification.
Quality & Standards: Follow coding standards and use independent judgment for development and debugging.
Self-Directed Execution: Deliver results with limited supervision in an Agile environment.
