Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, implement, deploy and maintain high-quality distributed systems for S3.

You will work in an agile environment, focusing on performance, security, and scalability. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with teams across AWS to deliver long-term infrastructure solutions that support our growth and platform diversity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, deployment and maintenance of innovative software solutions to transform service performance, availability, cost, and security
• Use scalable frameworks and software engineering best practices to ensure the standard of quality of all team deliverables
• Write high quality distributed system software
• Work in an agile development environment, where you are always working on the top priority
• Mentor junior software development engineers
