Job summary

MTSI is seeking a Software Engineer (DevSecOps) to lead secure cloud platform engineering, Kubernetes operations, and policy-driven enforcement. This senior role supports mission-critical defense programs and requires hands-on expertise in high-assurance environments.

The successful candidate will manage Azure Government IL5/IL6 environments, design secure Kubernetes platforms with FluxCD and GitOps, and implement policy-as-code using OPA and Gatekeeper while ensuring compliance and platform

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret level clearance.
• US citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related STEM field.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, DevSecOps, or secure cloud/platform engineering.
• Security+ certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate Azure Government (IL5) and Azure Secret (IL6) environments.
• Architect secure Kubernetes platforms using FluxCD, GitLab CI/CD, and GitOps methodologies.
• Build and maintain Terraform configurations for Azure, GitLab, Artifactory, and developer platforms.
• Deploy and administer Coder Enterprise v2 for secure cloud‑based development.
• Develop hardened container images and Helm releases for regulated workloads.
• Implement policy‑as‑code using OPA, Rego, Gatekeeper, and advanced validation pipelines.
• Engineer air‑gapped deployment workflows and secure artifact transfer mechanisms.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure compliance, security, and platform reliability.
