Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Software Engineer (DevOps) at_LEVEL 3 or 4 to join on-site teams in Fairfax, VA, Morrisville, NC, or Linthicum, MD. The role supports agile development, sprint cycles, and cross-program tasks with a DoD clearance requirement.

Ideal candidates have Java development experience, Kubernetes/Docker familiarity, and microservice architectures. The position is 100% onsite with a 9/80 schedule and relocation options may be available.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI at time of application.

• Execute 2-week sprints for 3-month increment deliveries.
• Design, develop, document, refactor, test, and debug applications.

This Software Engineer (DevOps) – Level 3 or 4 role will be located in either our Morrisville, NC, Fairfax, VA, or Linthicum, MD sites.

This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Ultimately, you will support the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission. Development is done within the Agile paradigm using the Atlassian tool suite. The work is full-time in the office. The qualified candidate must have and be able to maintain a DoD clearance.
The successful candidate will have Software development experience, with the ability to digest changes and synthesize them into working designs, generate efficient code according to the specifications, and adapt to changes as necessary that are driven by bugs or specification updates or the customer. The candidate is expected to operate independently with little oversight in a dynamic environment, and to be highly self-motivated, reporting information to leads and the customer.
The individual is expected to handle diverse assignments with efficiency, finding unique solutions and working in a very collaborative and fast-paced environment that continues to grow.

In this job, you will:

This position is contingent upon clearance verification and transfer to the NG sponsored program as well as continued ability to maintain required clearance level.

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4, depending on the candidate’s experience as laid out in the basic qualifications detailed below as well as the interview assessment.

• Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance [TS/SCI] at time of application
• Level 3:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience
  • Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience
  • PhD with 1 year of professional experience) (excluding internships, research projects, etc.);
  • May consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a completed bachelor’s
• Level 4:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience
  • Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience

  • May consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a completed bachelor’s

Primary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $165,500.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $206,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
