Harbor Health is seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a focus on cloud, DevOps, and security to join our team. Our Engineer will:

1. Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud-native architectures using system thinking principles.
2. Develop and maintain robust, secure infrastructure to support Harbor Health’s next-generation platform.
3. Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
4. Implement advanced security practices, including infrastructure hardening, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and business operations, to deliver reliable and secure solutions.
6. Take full ownership of features, guiding them from ideation to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues, proactively identifying and mitigating performance bottlenecks.
8. Leverage AI tools or frameworks to enhance automation, monitoring, and security capabilities.
9. Establish monitoring, alerting, and optimization strategies to ensure system reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
10. Stay ahead of industry trends in cloud computing, DevOps, and cybersecurity to incorporate best practices and innovative tools.
11. Foster a culture of collaboration by conducting code reviews, sharing knowledge, and mentoring junior engineers.
12. Create and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure designs, deployment workflows, and security protocols.

Desired Qualifications

1. 3–5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or software development with a focus on security and scalability.
2. At least 2 years of experience in a regulated environment like healthcare or banking.
3. Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred) or similar, including expertise in managing cloud-native applications and services.
4. Strong expertise in infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
5. Experience designing, managing, and optimizing secure APIs and handling large-scale data systems.
6. Proven track record of delivering projects with speed and reliability, from initial concept to production deployment.
7. Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration and communication skills.
8. Demonstrated ability to develop and operationalize efficient processes and workflows for cloud infrastructure and security.
9. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
10. Familiarity with AI tools and technologies, with experience integrating or experimenting with AI-driven automation and monitoring solutions.
11. Open to candidates based in Austin, TX; Salt Lake City, UT; or remote locations.

Physical Requirements of the role include:

1. Up to 10% Travel.
