Job summary

Coinbase is hiring for Software Engineers within the Developer Infrastructure group to build and operate core services that power all engineers. You will own end-to-end components, from design and implementation through testing, rollout, and production monitoring.

You will contribute to scalable CI and build infrastructure, deployment tooling, and test infrastructure with a focus on reliability, security, and observability at Coinbase scale.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building and operating production software with Go or similar.
• Track record shipping backend or platform features with ownership to production.
• Strong focus on reliability, security, and observability in code.
• Clear communication and ability to drive scoped projects with minimal guidance.
• Customer-focused mindset measuring impact on engineers and users.
• Experience with developer infrastructure domains: CI/CD, build/deploy tooling, test infra.

Responsibilities

• Build, ship, and operate core developer-infrastructure services that are fast, reliable, and secure.
• Improve metrics like build/CI wall time, deploy speed, safety, and test feedback.
• Own components end-to-end from implementation to monitoring and on-call rotation.
• Write high-quality, production-ready code with testing and observability.
• Collaborate with Coinbase engineering teams to translate pain points into platform improvements.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and drive own work items to completion.
• Share knowledge and perform thoughtful code reviews to raise quality.
