Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to build, modernize, and scale internal applications and services supporting scientific and operational workflows.

You will design backend APIs and UI components, own features end-to-end, and participate in architecture decisions while improving code quality and maintainability across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years related experience, or Master’s with 6 years.
• Experience building full stack applications (backend APIs + frontend UIs).
• Hands-on Python and a backend web framework (Flask, FastAPI, or similar).
• Proficiency with React or a modern frontend framework.
• Strong software engineering practices (testing, clean code, maintainability).
• Track record of reviewing production code and giving actionable feedback.
• Relational databases and data modeling experience.
• Version control, automated testing, and CI/CD workflow comfort.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Preferred: microservices architecture, microfrontend architecture, distributed/offshore teams, modern frontend frameworks, modernizing legacy systems, scientific/data-driven background.
