Job summary

Flint Hills Resources (FHR), a Koch Industries company, seeks a Software Engineer to join the Enterprise Data and Reliability team in Wichita. Hybrid work is available; role includes on-call rotation to maintain high availability and performance of data platform initiatives.

You will design, develop, and support scalable solutions across diverse platforms, guiding improvements that reduce costs and improve reliability for customers and business partners.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software engineering or related technical role.
• Experience building and supporting apps with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience developing, deploying, and supporting apps with AWS serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions).
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve critical issues across multiple business applications as part of a cross-functional team.
• Design, develop, test, monitor, and maintain robust, scalable solutions with architecture collaboration.
• Explore and implement enhancements to data platform applications, tools, and capabilities.
• Apply software architecture principles and design patterns to accelerate development and ensure reliability.
• Tackle complex technical challenges, expand expertise, and deliver business value.
• Communicate current and future solution states to stakeholders with urgency and clarity.
