Job summary

Flint Hills Resources is seeking an Application Support Analyst in Wichita, Kansas to keep critical systems running and deliver proactive, high-quality support. You will troubleshoot complex integrations, collaborate with IT and business stakeholders, and help refine monitoring, alerts, and knowledge bases to prevent issues.

This role includes an on‑call rotation, opportunities to work with AI-enabled workflows, and occasional travel to Rosemount, MN or Corpus Christi, TX (5–10%).

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting applications with complex integrations (event-based, APIs).
• Experience in SQL and basic coding (PowerShell, Python or similar).
• Interest in leveraging emerging AI technologies or building AI agents/workflows that automate and improve processes.
• Experience partnering effectively with IT and non-IT stakeholders with the ability to articulate business impact.
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues, becoming a trusted ally to our customers.
• Be the escalation point to other analysts on the team to troubleshoot complex issues or brainstorm ideas to resolve complex issues.
• Engage in collaborative discussions across IT teams, drive permanent solutions and continuous improvement to monitoring, alerts and logging.
• Be connected to expected SLAs, responding and resolving critical issues on time, and ensure monitoring and alerting is in place.
• Leverage, improve and support AI agents and workflows to analyze and solve complex business challenges, and maintain knowledge bases.
• Continuously seek ways to improve customer experience, work execution efficiency and application and data reliability.
• Be part of the team’s on‑call rotation (2 weekdays every 2 weeks, 1 weekend every 6 weeks).
