Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design and deliver scalable data ingestion and ML-enabled data solutions for the IDEAS team.

You will build distributed systems, apply best practices, and collaborate with scientists and ML engineers to support GTM and customer engagement at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data ingestion solutions for large-scale datasets.
• Build distributed systems in microservices and container architectures with data validation.
• Develop serverless apps using AWS Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, Glue; implement IaC with AWS CDK.
• Apply Machine Learning to solve data problems at scale.
• Collaborate with AWS services like Glue, EMR, S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, ElasticSearch, SQS, SNS, API Gateway.
• Follow software development best practices for quality and security.
• Design data systems for ML workflows including feature stores and real-time inference.
• Partner with scientists and ML engineers to build robust data foundations for ML systems.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and shape user experience for data-focused products.
