Responsibilities

Our cybersecurity research focuses on protecting mission-critical systems and national cyber infrastructure through initiatives in computer network defense, secure-by-design techniques, and cyber operations platforms.

Our projects cover areas such as:

• Program analysis, including understanding, vulnerability identification, and remediation
• Malware analysis and reverse engineering
• Resilient networking supporting cyber mission goals
• Software-defined networking for cyber defense and deception
• Artificial intelligence (reasoning, probabilistic inference, machine learning)

Qualifications

• 8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related field
• Ability to quickly acquire knowledge in new areas
• Expertise in languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, Go, or similar
• Knowledge of Linux, MacOS, Windows, and mobile OS internals
• Understanding of modern computer networking technologies
• Experience with development tools like Git, CI/CD pipelines
• Active Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SCI
• US Citizenship

Additional Skills (preferred):

• Experience as a technical lead or Principal Investigator in DoD/IC projects
• Business development skills, including proposal writing and whitepapers
• Experience with network protocol design, emulation, reverse engineering, RTOS, FPGA
• Familiarity with analysis tools such as GHIDRA, IDA, Binary Ninja, Angr, debugging tools, CNO frameworks, emulation frameworks, container orchestration, cloud services, DevOps, Agile, and CNO operations
