Layup is building cutting-edge manufacturing technology that reduces lead times and enables rapid production. We seek a Controls/Automation Software Engineer to join our robotics and software team, owning outputs as projects move from R&D to production, and ensuring automated systems run reliably while new features are advanced.
The role emphasizes direct hardware interaction, strong C++ software skills, and experience with factory automation or robotics in a fast-paced startup-like
At Layup Parts,we'redeveloping the technology that will build the future.
We're a manufacturing technology company replacing months of lead time with days, using proprietary software, automation, and advanced manufacturing systems built for speed. Our customers are inventing what's next, in aerospace, defense, robotics, and beyond. To keep up with them, manufacturing has to change. That's what we're building.
We're looking for a Controls/Automation Software Engineer to join our robotics and software team as a core support and build resources across our machine automation systems — ovens, autoclaves, and other machine integrations into our broader production system. You'll be an owner of robotics team outputs once they move from R&D into production, acting as the support function that keeps automated systems running, resolves field issues, and keeps development features moving forward.
