Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a control systems engineer to design and develop software for industrial equipment in Houston. The role includes creating documentation for commissioning processes, providing field support, and training customers and technicians on equipment operation and maintenance.

You will generate reports on software verification, modify existing code, and create structured PLC programs. Proficiency with Siemens FactoryLink, Proficy iFix, and Wonderware Intouch is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems software.

Job description

Requirements

• A degree in Engineering is preferred, but equivalent work experience of 3+ years will also be considered.
• Ability to obtain necessary certifications and comply with travel requirements to domestic and overseas rig and shipyards, both land-based and offshore.
• Engineering degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA HMI programming, and the ability to read electrical schematics.
• Experience in generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable, and reusable.
• Strong customer focus and collaborative problem-solving approach.
• Effective negotiation skills.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Confident and professional representation of the company, in person and in writing.
