Job summary

A leading IT consulting firm is seeking a Software Engineer/Configuration Management for a contract role in Chandler, AZ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining software repositories, ensuring operational software builds, and automating software patch management. Candidates should have a relevant degree and experience with Git, Linux, as well as continuous integration systems such as Jenkins or Buildbot. This contract position is expected to last 6 months with an ASAP start date.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience with Git/GERRIT.
• 1-2 years of experience with continuous integration systems.
• 3-5 years of experience working with Linux/Unix, Windows, VMware ESX Virtualization.
• 1-2 years of experience with Python, Perl for developing cron jobs and automation scripts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the health of the software repositories.
• Ensure that the software can be successfully built and is operational.
• Deliver software to internal teams and ensure incremental changes are synchronized.
• Produce periodic builds of the software for validation teams.
• Leverage automation of software patch and build management.
