Software Engineer, Command Control Mission Autonomy

About the Team

The Air Dominance & Strike team develops aerial and multi‑domain robotic systems, taking products like Fury and Barracuda from concept to product. We also develop Lattice for Mission Autonomy, enabling millions of missions across fleets. We work closely with Perception, Motion Planning, Hardware, and Test Engineering teams.

We need Software Engineers to build core Command and Control software for Lattice. The software runs on vehicles managing real‑time telemetry, health, and autopilot tasks, and on ground stations for mission planning, map visualization, fleet management, and autonomous behavior orchestration. We are integrating GenAI agents to allow operators to direct autonomous assets via natural language. The role is highly autonomous and involves shipping code that runs on deployed hardware.

Required Qualifications

• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
• 3+ years of back‑end experience in Python, C++, Rust, Go, or Java.
• Experience building software solutions with significant data processing and analysis.
• Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems with a bias toward rapid delivery and iteration.
• Desire to collaborate with team members to deliver novel software to ambiguous problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, or SaaS.
• Experience with multi‑agent autonomous systems or defense technology.
• Knowledge of military systems and operational tactics.
• Strong background in Physics, Mathematics, or Motion Planning for modeling & simulation.

Salary and Benefits

US Salary Range: $166,000 - $220,000 USD. Salary is an estimate based on experience, education, and critical skills. Equity grants and other benefits are part of the total compensation package.
