Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a Software Engineering Co-Op for Spring-Summer 2027 (January-August). This full-time, on-site role supports the National Security Business Unit and focuses on design, development, and testing of web UI software using JavaScript/React and Python in a Linux environment.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering (CSE), electrical engineering (EE) or related field, with two years of college

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering (CSE), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or Electrical Engineering (EE).
Must have two years of college coursework completed at the start of the co-op.
Programming experience in JavaScript/React, Python, C/C++, or Java (Linux environment preferred).
Experience in Windows and Linux software development environments.

Responsibilities

Participate in design, development, and testing of web-based UI software using JavaScript/React and Python in a Linux environment.
Work independently and as part of a multi-functional team.
Provide engineering support to technical staff and managers on client projects.
