Entrust Corporation in Minnesota is seeking a Software Development Co-Op for 6 to 12 months at our Shakopee headquarters. You'll gain hands-on experience in software design, development, testing, and deployment within our Engineering Group.

You’ll work with Java, C++, and C#, participate in reviewing requirements and unit testing, and help resolve field issues while exploring machine vision and related technologies. Flexible on-site, hybrid, or remote options are available.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree.
• Experience with Java, C++, and/or C# software development.
• Experience with Windows updates and security Windows OS systems.
• Experience with diagnostics.
• Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US.

Responsibilities

• Software Development - 50% Design, develop, test, document and deploy software; assist in requirements and estimation; work with test group to validate functionality.
• Software Continuation - 20% Review and respond to field problems; reproduce issues; fix or identify workaround.
• Reviewing and Testing work from others - 30% Review and unit test code; review technical documents of released functionality.

Position Overview

Entrust is looking for a Software Development Co‑Op student to join our team for a 6 to 12 months experience in Shakopee, MN at our Corporate headquarters. Join Entrust as a co‑op student in our Engineering Group. Gain hands‑on experience in your focus area of study. The Program allows undergraduate students an opportunity to gain experience and develop skills through challenging work assignments that truly add value to the business.

Responsibilities

• Software Development - 50% Design, develop, test, document and deploy software Assist in reviewing product requirements and estimation of work Work with test group to validate functionality
• Software Continuation - 20% Review and Respond to reported field problems Try to reproduce problem Fix and/or identify workaround to the problem
• Reviewing and Testing work from others on the team - 30% Reviewing and unit testing code from others on team Reviewing Technical documents of released functionality

Basic Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree.
• Experience with Java, C++, and/or C# software development.

• Experience with diagnostics.
• Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US.

Preferred Qualifications

• Subversion
• Experience in Python,.NET, Windows development GUI application programming using Java Swing
• Experienced with agile processes, methodologies, and tools on multi-person teams and projects
• Experience or desire working with machine vision systems
• Experience with image generation and processing including color managed workflows
• Experience with concurrency/multi-threaded development environments
• Experience or interest working with mechanical systems

Compensation Range

• The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00 per hour (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience.
