Job summary

MillerKnoll is seeking a Software Engineer to design and maintain CET Designer extensions, enabling dynamic product configurations and 3D representations of commercial furniture. You’ll work on configurable logic for visualization, pricing, and manufacturing rules within an Agile, cross‑functional team across multiple regions.

The role requires a strong OO background, experience with CET Designer, CAD/3D visualization, and distributed collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline OR equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience developing software using object-oriented programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, software architecture, and modern software development practices.
  • Experience with source control systems and Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience developing CET Designer (Configura) extensions preferred.
  • Experience developing CAD, 3D visualization, or product configuration applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of commercial furniture, manufacturing, or engineering systems preferred.
  • Experience working with globally distributed development teams preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain CET software extensions using object-oriented programming principles.
  • Develop configurable product logic supporting visualization, specification, pricing, BOM, and manufacturing rules.
  • Create and maintain intelligent 2D and 3D product representations.
  • Translate business and product requirements into scalable, maintainable software solutions.
  • Participate in Agile development activities including planning, estimation, code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across North America, Europe, and Asia to support product launches and enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot software defects and implement quality improvements.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, development practices, and technical documentation.
