Job summary

Riverbed, a leader in AI observability, is seeking an enthusiastic Software Engineer (C++ or Python) to join the NPM product team. You will contribute to data reporting and analysis capabilities, learn customer workflows, and optimize performance across large data sets in a hybrid environment.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in CS/Math/Engineering, 2+ years of Linux development, and strong knowledge of C++/Python, as well as experience with ClickHouse and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, or engineering.
• 2+ years of hands-on development experience, preferably in a Linux environment.
• Demonstrated experience with C++ or Python; strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, multithreading, and distributed systems.
• Experience with database technologies such as ClickHouse and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Work with product management and multiple engineering teams to deliver and maintain new data reporting and analysis capabilities in the product.
• Learn customer workflows to design and implement solutions providing insightful data to answer their questions, while providing the best possible user experience over large data sets.
• Solve complex performance issues where analysis of the situation and/or data requires in-depth evaluation.
• Implement new designs and infrastructure as well as optimize and extend the existing solutions.
