Job summary

Everforth ECS is seeking a Software Engineer to work onsite at our Springfield, VA customer site. The role involves developing applications and APIs to enable analytic functionality and collaborating with a technical team in an Agile environment.

Strong programming and enterprise integration skills are required. Candidates should have C++, Python, and JavaScript proficiency, experience with DevSecOps tools, and containerization technologies such as Kubernetes/OpenShift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field.
• US citizenship required.
• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI + CI-Poly eligibility.
• 4-6+ years of experience designing, coding, deploying, and supporting enterprise‑level systems.
• Proficiency with multiple programming languages such as C++, Python, and JavaScript.
• Experience with brownfield applications, identifying opportunities for improvement and designing/implementing new features.
• Experience with DevSecOps frameworks (e.g. GitLab, Jira).
• Experience developing architecture/system diagrams and data flow diagrams.
• Experience with containerization/orchestration technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Experience with Linux command-line interface (CLI) including scripting in Bash, Python, etc.
• Experience working in an Agile environment (e.g. work breakdown/refinement, ongoing task updates).
• Excellent communication/presentation skills to make recommendations to stakeholders with varying degrees of technical awareness.
